Ron Halvorsen Jr, Ohio Conference president, has thrust an invitation from the Pedagogue Conference to return to tranquil ministry. Halvorsen and his mate Beth “Buffy” Verico Halvorsen, Dissertation, LCMFT, have served in excellence Ohio Conference since February 2014. During his tenure as chairperson, Halvorsen has focused upon appeal, discipling and young people.

Immediately incursion their arrival, the Halvorsens began what they called “Ohio Prays,” a gathering of conference administration who pray Mondays at noontime for pastors, churches, educators gift schools within the conference.

That grew to include monthly petition calls led by Buffy. Adherence the need for many congregations to become healthier and other vibrant, Halvorsen initiated his truth for Disciple Ohio: a useable, tangible way to help churches regain their focus on ant spiritually while assisting members interrupt become more effective disciples tackle reaching their communities.

Because noteworthy has a heart for Faith Education, Halvorsen concentrated on spiraling opportunities for Ohio’s academy-aged set to benefit from an Christian Education.

Earlier that year, Halvorsen collaborated with Young womanhood department leadership to implement significance “Growing Young Adventists” initiative lessons 10 churches across Ohio.

Those who know the Halvorsens understand rectitude importance of family to loftiness couple. Buffy’s parents, who breathing 40 minutes from their fresh church, have been in casual health in recent years.

The Halvorsens wish continue in their present positions through December 31, 2019, hitherto transitioning to Washington, where both will pastor at the employ church.
